Mitja at M&O Paris
This year at Maison&Objet in Paris MITJA presented new designs and updated products from our previous collection.
New designs and updated products from our previous collection. Among others there is new Kalota bar table by studio redesign, family of stools and coffee tables named Water Lily from Scandinavian designer Jonas Lyndby Jensen, new Coco shelf by designschneider, updated collection Tangenta by redesign and two new chair designs – Frame chair by German designer Oliver Schick and Loop chair by Croatian studio Havranek+Lugonja.
Mitja’s design intertwines product design and fine craft in a collection of sophisticated and innovative solid wood products. Ultimately, this comes down to designing something beautiful in its essence and in the balance of its materials, form and function. In addition, our design language evokes an emotional response through shapes that invite tactile exploration.
We use the natural beauty of organic and distinguished materials to enchance a product’s durability and functionality. We practice the sensible use of wood resources from sustainably managed forests. In our designs, wood is complemented with other natural and expressive materials such as leather, marble, wool and copper. Thus, we create distinctive aesthetics in products that fuse sculptural form with hand-worn materials that age gracefully.
